Blog 10

Not all students enjoy the same things when learning and sometimes as a teacher you do not know how to make the lesson engaging. Making a survey could give students the options when it came to what kind of art to work on next. Give students a survey with a few different themes. Also, I think it is a smart idea at the end of a quarter to have your students review what you taught how they think it could be better.

after looking at a few of my peer's blogs I saw we all kept them pretty simple. blogger is new to a majority of us so keeping it simple is common and a good idea for how visually effective and attractive it is. Lots of students tended to choose cool colors like blues. Lots of online apps are blue since it is a relaxing color so I wonder if they were drawn to it because of that or just they like blue.

I want to learn how to dry and do graphic design on an iPad and re-learn how to use adobe premiere. My goal is to teach art classes and I would love to implement education on graphic design. It is one of the most popular jobs for an artist. I love drawing so I think it would be fun to learn how to use a graphic design app. I use to edit videos and I would like to relearn to make videos for students if online learning becomes a new normal from pandemics or natural disasters.

I am not a fan of my classes being online there is a reason I chose to take in-person classes. I feel less motivated to pay attention during zoom lectures and recorded lecture videos. I get up much later now but I try to get up early a few times a week with friends get coffee and do all our work together like were in class. Also, I have a planner and I plan out my weeks, and checking off assignments has become my motivation.

open educational resources are resources created for anyone to use. they're free to the public so you do not need to pay for them and you can edit or change them. you have to follow the 5 R's when changing it for it to be legal. My baby bio class has us watch Tedtalks as extra credit and that is an example of one my favorite OER.

I thought this was the easiest to figure out how to use the program since I have made power points before. The only new thing I learned was how to link things to other slides and turn off the setting to click through the slides. Growing up I had always wondered how teachers made the jeopardy game and now I know. I think I need to improve my creativity and make my powerpoints more exciting and fun to look at.

I can now make a website for a future job I have if it is needed. I always say I find it difficult to figure out how to work new websites. I enjoyed being creative and making the site my own but there were a few limitations to Weebly that are annoying. If I am a teacher I can make one for my class to share their art, keep parents updated, and share with other teachers.

I learned how to save websites or documents from the internet and annotate them. I like how you can share with a class or group the important parts of what you have found. This can be useful for a group project in sharing important parts of information. For teachers u could share lesson plans with each other it'll take u right to the website and parts that are important.

Technology is what most teachers use to teach. Most use power points to teach and they have to look professional in case your boss watches your class and just to make it easy for students to learn from. I found a blog that posts about new educational technology and what they believe is good and useful about it. This is great for busy teachers who do not have the time to research educational technology themselves.

She has a very cute simple website. It is easy to navigate she took into account who was gonna be viewing her site. She has important links to curriculum and resources for parents. She has a classroom wish list which is so smart as teachers have to fund more of the things in their classroom. Easy access to it means more support from parents.

I have mentioned before my goal is to teach art if I were to create a website I would use it to show off all mt students' artwork. A place where parents can go see since kids damage art or lose it when they go to take it home. Also, a way to update parents on what art is next and to remind them to encourage creativity. it is a good place to keep contact information since those papers that get sent home the first day always get lost as well.

How could you use a wiki with your future K-12 students?
I find working with any new website can be annoying and confusing. I felt frustrated at first since I was the person in charge and could not figure out how to let my group edit it. I think it took us 20 min until we realized I had to change who they are to the editor. I do like you can all work on something together and link each other's pages to it. In art, there is art history I could see them using to do a report on a painting or style of art in groups.

I find using any new website to be a little frustrating and confusing. As I have gotten to navigate through Diigo when completing the portfolio assignments I have come to see how it can be helpful. I like it because you could share papers or other educational documents with a group and highlight what you thought was important and leave notes on them. I could see myself using this for a group project in the future.

I do not dislike vlogging but I do not love it. I feel very awkward about sharing things about my life. I do not feel awkward about answering these questions since they are not personal. I have learned that writing a blog is less scary than think. I was very nervous the firsts few vlogs someone would think it is weird or comment something mean. Now I could care less.

Animoto is a web 2.0 website where you create short videos as a way to teach a lesson. Also, it is for a student to can make their own video as a project. I always loved artsy websites where I could make videos, our pictures into a slide show, or make a presentation look more exciting. I love the fact it is women started and owned business. Women supporting other young girls' education makes me happy.

Blog 5

When I first started using twitter it was too interact with my cheer team and gym. Now I interact with more people with whom I would potentially have a similar job too or my friends who post their art snd films. It is beneficial to see people who are in a similar stage of life to me and interact with people in my field in learning new things and I find it motivating. Finding a group of teachers who teach the same subject will be great for my future career. I could bounce ideas and learn ideas from them to use in the classroom.

The digital divide affects student's success they cannot do the same things as similar students its not fair. In low SES areas, students are less likely to have internet access and as schools move towards all online it makes it impossible for those students to work outside of the classroom. Also, some students may have grown up with no technology around them and teachers expect students to know how to work a computer or website. some students may have never had the chance to work on any sort of technology. I want to teach elementary art and thankfully that's normally a hand on no homework type of class. If I assigned students a graphic design assignment there would definitely be students who do not know how to work their computer or come to school with it dead since they cannot charge it at home. having desktops in class and doing computer tutorials with the whole class so no one feels awkward.

I want to implement graphic design software and photo editing software. Those two types of art are becoming more popular and could even be a great future job. I am an art history minor and I took two art classes during my freshman year and basically, everyone was a graphic design major and it is one of the best ways to put your artistic talents into use in the world. Also, photo editing software is useful in daily life we all take pictures evry single day, and learn how to edit them can be a creative outlet. I just want students to not feel stressed while learning and being creative.
